Ashkan Shafiei is an independent vocalist/musician based in Tehran, Iran. Apart from composing his own original songs, he is the founder and lead singer of Mad Housh ensemble and a co-member of Gramophone Trio.

Ashkan began his journey in music by playing guitar at the age of thirteen. Very soon he realized he has a deep passion toward song writing and composing. He recorded and published his first song, Mordad, in the summer of ۲۰۱۴, in his favorite genre, fusion jazz. Since then he has released about ten single tracks which as he says are the reflection of his own "feelings, experiments and observations in the magical world of music". He has also performed as the lead singer/guitarist/saxophone player at numerous live shows, gigs and music festivals in Tehran, as well as, in Melbourne, during his two years stay in Australia.

Ashkan's music is a mixture of jazz harmony and Persian sounds and poems.
